UAB „Newon Food“<\/strong> develops a wide range of homogenized and dietary food products with functional food properties. The company continuously invests in new equipment and expands its operations. In 2023, it plans to create a series of new products with functional food properties, participate in exhibitions and trade fairs, and increase production and export volumes to the European Union and other countries.<\/p>

The growing energy consumption, development of new production technologies and capacities, production growth, and expansion of product consumers and markets set the goal to optimize energy usage. With electricity prices more than doubling in recent years, the company aims to generate part of the electricity needed for production using a 250 kW solar power plant under the project „UAB ‚Newon Food‘ 250 kW Renewable Energy Power Plant No. 02-011-K-0055.“ The planned solar power plant, with a capacity of 250 kW, is expected to generate approximately 245 MWh of electricity per year. Upon project completion, energy generated from renewable sources will account for about 70% of total energy consumption. The project will contribute to climate change mitigation and to the goals and commitments of the Republic of Lithuania to achieve 50% of consumed energy from renewable sources by 2030.<\/p>

Funding for the project was provided through the 2022\u20132030 Development Program managed by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania. Under the Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Program Progress Measure No. 05-001-01-04-02 „Encouraging Companies to Transition Towards a Climate-Neutral Economy,“ funding was allocated to support the installation of renewable energy resources in industrial companies (in the Central and Western regions of Lithuania) through the European Regional Development Fund, providing a grant of EUR 102,690.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2024-2025, UAB „Newon Food“ is implementing the project „Implementation of E-Sales Transaction Solutions for UAB ‚Newon Food‘ No. 02-033-K-0611“ under the Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Program (Progress Measure No. 05-001-01-05-05 „Promote Company Digitalization“) led by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania within the 2022\u20132030 Development Program. The activity „Promote the Digitalization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises by Financing the Implementation of E-Sales Transaction Solutions, Product and Service Configuration, and Visualization“ (Central and Western Lithuania region) aims to implement an e-sales transaction system (online store).<\/strong><\/p>

Upon successful completion, UAB „Newon Food“ will be better equipped to reach potential customers and present its products in a modern, remote manner. With the implementation of an e-sales transaction system (online store), the company will become more modern and competitive and will also increase sales revenue.<\/p>
